Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant, as well as the Miss Universe Pageant.
